Here are some of the first pictures of Corsair Vengeance RGB series DDR4 memory. Built on the same product design as the Vengeance RGB series the company launched at Computex 2016 (June), these DIMMs feature RGB LED lighting elements, with software control directly through the DIMM interface, without needing any additional wires or physical button pushes. Each DIMM can display a single color from the 16.7 million-color RGB palette at a given time. These DIMMs could come in densities of 8 GB and 16 GB, and in various DDR4 speeds, and in single-module, dual-channel, and quad-channel kits.

Properly implemented is not a bad thing. Is not like there aren't any other choices, even from the same producers. ;)

I was half a mind for the G.Skill RGBs but these do give me a pause for consideration. I may just end of buying both kits and return the set that loses out in aesthetics/price.
 
Sadly, it seems like memory manufacturers gave up on trying to increase performance and have shifted their focus almost completely to the bling factor.

I'm not going to fault them for since they all get the same chips from more or less the same source. So there is only so much they can do besides binning without going out of spec after they get their hands on them to set themselves apart from the other guys.
 
What's the fuss about this whole RGB thingy?

Most desktop cases don't have a transparent side panel and they are mostly tucked underneath desks. Who cares what colour of lights the internal components emits?

The ones that don't have solid cases or open cases?

I was half a mind for the G.Skill RGBs but these do give me a pause for consideration. I may just end of buying both kits and return the set that loses out in aesthetics/price.

Kingstone also have some beautiful RGB models recently launched.

But, the real benefit of RGB on the Corsair RAM gives you more CPU overclocking headroom.. And GPU, as well. If you get the RGB color combo spot on.

You're one to talk. Let me guess your K95 RGB gives 100Mhz to all components and +10 FPS in your system and that lone LED on the CPU water block gives +50Mhz and -5C on the CPU because blue is a cool color, yo.

lol.. You've done your research I see. And the K95 RGB is so 1337 that it's the only RGB component I've ever needed to buy! Plus those performance gains you mentioned are a nice bonus. :rolleyes:

On that 6 year old XSPC Raystorm block, there is actually 2 LED's on that block.. So, I'm getting a total of +100MHz and -10°C, yo. :respect:
 
You guys are kids. My case Fan gives constant 5 degrees Celsius because of the Blue cold led light. ;)
