CPU_OPT half power only?

Good morning everyone, I need your help to explain an issue I've been experiencing in recent days with the build I've just assembled. Mainboard: Gigabyte x670 gaming x ax CPU: Ryzen 5 7600 COOLER: Thermalright frozen prism 360 ARGB I've connected the cooler pump to the CPU_OPT connector and the fans to the CPU_FAN connector. However, I've noticed that when I access Gigabyte Smart Fan in the BIOS and set the maximum speed for CPU_OPT (the cooler pump), it is regulated to a maximum of 1500 RPM. The Thermalright pump, on the other hand, can reach a maximum speed of 3300 RPM, so the pump speed is limited to half of its actual capabilities. There don't seem to be any issues with the fan speed, which is around 1800 RPM. I've tried swapping the cables and connected the pump to the CPU_FAN connector and the fans to the CPU_OPT connector. In this case, at maximum speed, the pump runs at 3300 RPM, but the cooler fans only reach about 900 RPM.

From what I've understood, it seems like the CPU_OPT connector is only providing half of the power it should, preventing me from using my cooler pump properly.

Do you think this behavior is normal? Is there any solution?

According to the manual (page 21) all fan headers including CPU_OPT should be capable of 24W. Have you tried contacting Gigabyte support?

Are you on the newest BIOS? The latest for your board released just two week ago.
How do you monitor CPU_OPT speed? In the recent months there have been updates to HWinfo (post 7.60) to enhance compatibility with Gigabyte AM5 motherboards.

Have you tried setting CPU_OPT control mode to PWM rather than auto?
Have you tried setting CPU_OPT control to manual and dragging the curve to force the speed to the maximum?

Page 6 of the BIOS guide (not the motherboard manual) has the details on Smart Fan 6.

Or try other fan headers.

It could be the fan, maybe try another fan? If not grab a splitter..
