Crossfire X Bridge length question

I just bought the P9X79 and I will be having 2x 6950 in CFX. I'd like to use the 1st and 2nd PCI-E x16 slots (The dark blue ones)

As you can see, they are separated by 2 PCI-E x1 slots (the 1st card will cover 1 PCI-E x1 slot, the 2nd dwill cover the PCI slot). I've been told the distance between PCI slots is ~0.8" or 2.032cm, so technically a 6.5cm Crossfire bridge will work here right?

did that board not come with a long crossfire bridge?

Yes, it will work. I'm doing the same thing right now with my ASRock 970. I also have another bridge that is 9cm long.

And apparently my camera is really good at taking pictures of dust..... :eek:
