Crysis save game crash.

Hey Guys,

So I recently installed Crysis, Warhead and Wars on my new rig.
Running vista 32bit updated and all other games run great, including L4D, Fallout 3, WoW and Dead Space even Crysis Wars runs awesome. Single play Crysis and warhead also run spectacular until I get to a save spot/checkpoint from there it'll will crash to desktop every time. After some research I found this is a somewhat common problem with vista and Crysis and none of the things people have done to fix it have worked for me. I really would love to get this to work since I love the game and while it runs decent on my old computer which still runs XP I like it much better in DX10. If anyone has encountered the same issue that knows a little more than I do any help would be appreciated.

Even disabling saving would be OK with me if that's possible.

I've played the game on both XP and Vista without problems so the problem is not in the game itself.

Tried newest patch (1.21)?
Tried reinstalling the game?

Also, check if there's a problem with the directory Crysis stores saved games when using Vista:
system root\Users\*Username*\Documents\My Games\Crysis

I installed both patches but I think I might have skipped the Hot fix (for online only)for one of the games ill have to double check. The hot fix was for the original Crysis and for online only. I will double check the saved folder in vista when I get back home. Its weird that both games are doing it but I do think it might be the folder they are saving into so I'll mess with that tonight and hope that fixes it. Thanx man.

Where in the game is the actual save point ?

In Crysis its in the second level once you get to the base where you meet up with with psycho and the woman. In Warhead its already at the first few.

They load fine and play great just when they save the game goes to desktop. It'll do the same if I try to manually save.

Did you try reinstalling it? It might be the save files themselves that are corrupt. If so I would toss them and download a new save. I beat the game and still have all my saves so let me know and Ill post whatever level you want.

I had the same problem where it would crash at a save point. I kept trying to get past the save point from different angles and finally it just worked . Never had another problem with it either !

OK so I moved the saved game files from my other system over and went straight to the 3rd level (The Relic). The game saved correctly twice and then at the 3rd checkpoint same thing happened

. After a little more research it seems it might be cause by texture streaming or something. Any ideas?
