crysis steam version not working windows 10

So I just bought crysis on steam and it is not working whenver i try to launch it the game goes to a black screen for a momemnt then crashes, I used to own the original retail disc but i threw it away because the disc was very scratched up and unreadable by any optical drive.

Now on my old pc which was also running windows 10 using an iso image I was able to install the game and using a no cd crack I was able to launch it no issue, but I really didn't want to go that route since I dont agree with piracy even though I bought crysis on day one when it was launched back in 07 that's why I purchased the game a second time on steam.

but niether fix has worked for me.

I also got crysis warhead and tried to launch it, its having the same issue.

I've noticed the same during Ryzen testing, could be an AMD problem, since it works fine using Intel CPU

Downloaded on steam to test and for me it just works so im not sure why its not working for you on windows 10.

Only thing i can think of is try running steam as admin or set the games EXE file to run as admin and see if that helps.

Some people have also said it might be worth installing directx from the web installer.

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode for Win XP?

I fixed it by downloading a 64 bit cracked exe and running the game in compatibility mode with win 7, but I can't run the game any higher than 900p, I could probably fix this buy using a config tweak though.

I am currently using a tv as my monitor at 1080p.

No it just says the application is not responding. But like i said i fixed it using a crack.
