Cuda on CPU

This is rather interesting.

I remember hearing that NVIDIA was going to bring CUDA to x86, but nothing about this "Ocelot" project.

Um I thought that the CUDA toolkit had a built in C/C++ compiler that can simulate cuda on x86-64 with the intel ICC plugin http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda_3_2_downloads.html

Does that allow for this "Ocelot currently allows CUDA programs to be executed on NVIDIA GPUs and x86-CPUs at full speed without recompilation."?
