CDPR could introduce microtransactions to Cyberpunk 2077 after all
CD Projekt Red were very vocal about Cyberpunk 2077 being free from microtransactions. However, this will not be entirely the case as the multiplayer part of the game will have these systems, although it may not be time to panic just yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 will seemingly not be entirely free from microtransactions after all. According to the financial teleconference recently held by Piotr Nielubowitz, CDPR's Vice President of finances, and Adam Kicinski, CDPR CEO, Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer is in early stages of development.
The confirmation of the multiplayer development is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. CDPR are apparently not getting ahead of themselves here though, as they are well aware of this being their first multiplayer project. The developers are, therefore, experimenting with many things, including the potential monetisation options.
Don't mess this up, CDPR. I have very strong feelings about microtransactions in full-priced games; even if they're relegated to a separate game mode.
