Is it necessary to deburr/sand petg tubes?

What do you use? I've got a bitspower tool that cuts and deburrs tubes but it makes a mess of the petg and it seems to be deburring the inside and not the OUTSIDE

In my case, I'm using petg with friction fittings (bitspower enhanced multi link) the damage to the O ring could only be done if the outer edge of the tube was irregular or too sharp.

And my other question:

About inserts. I've read on the Web that its best not to out water on them because it will expand when I use the heat gun. Is that true?

Also I find that fitting the tubes inside the fittings when my tube run is done proves to be difficult, I often have to press hard to try different angled. Is there something I can do to make it pop in easier?

Such as using water or soap?

I would highly advise you to deburr both inner & outer surfaces using a tool like this:

Should be able to find 1 at any PC modding store that carries WC gear, if not try a hardware/plumbing store like Home Depot for example.

I would use glycol (antifreeze) if it was me, if you are using 1 of those fancy $25/l coolants just dip the tube end in before trying to slide it in - like sex, sometimes a lil' lube goes a long way ;) LoLoLoL

Yup deburr or risk tearing an O ring.
