Hello , it has been a while since i started thinkering with those ancient graphic cards but when i start diging, i just can't stop.
So without any sources i started to compare memory configuration tables to understand how they work. I mostly needed that for my crazy idea of making 4gb hd7790, but now when i saw few videos from a russian youtuber decoding and changing memory configuration while the gpu was running, sadly for bigger brothers of my project. i am just very curious about calculating memory configuration for this gpu. because runing it with 4, 2 or 1 memory channel on demand would really help me with my experiments.
sadly there wasn't any hd7790 with 64 bit bus because that could shine some light on how the memory work without buying russian memory testing aps.
i did mannaged to find some tserver scripts for my gpu but only for testing if memory is working, and nothing to reconfigure it.
i attach a small portion of what i try to decode and understand the mechanism . red and pink parts are responsible for enabling or disabling memory channels, blue tels the controller about density and size of memory videos in russian describing how to do it on other amd gpu's are on modbios youtube channel
if anyone know what i am talking about i would apriciate some pointers, otherwise it will be just another ded topic on forum
