Since getting my Dell XPS 9520 (64gb ram, 3050ti and i7) is has struggled to play games like overwatch on lowest settings at a smooth 60fps, it has 4gb vram but when playing it never goes above 700mb vram usage and constantly lags even at 50% resolution scale. I've set all the high performance settings, updated my drivers and kept the laptop cool (graphics card is at 74-79 degrees when playing) but can't seem to fix the issue, it even feels laggy sometimes doing basic desktop tasks like dragging windows around.
The best thing that's worked is changing some of the power limit controls in throttlestop but I'd like to optimize that further. (Currently reading 35, 65, 56)
Anyone had success gaming on this laptop? I'm going to do a reset (but keep my files) and would like to know how to ideally optimize it for gaming and editing performance, thanks!
