First off can you still play local music files or stream music in any of these power saving modes? I doubt it but it would be great if you could.

Second do these power saving modes turn off any cooling fans controlled by the motherboard?

Third: what is the difference between hybrid-mode and hibernation? I know hibernation saves the system state to disk (which sleep mode doesn't do).

Fourth: can you still charge a phone via a USB 3.0 port while a system is in one of these power saving modes?

1. No.
2. Yes. It turns off all cooling fans.
3. Well, Google is your friend. But basically hibernation saves an image of your memory to disk, then shuts down the computer. Hybrid also saves an image to disk, but puts the computer into standby, keeping much of the memory data still "alive" for faster boot. Should the system be turned on in hybrid, it will use the hibernation feature - hence "hybrid". It should be noted hibernation is more for laptops while hybrid was designed specifically for PCs.
4. Depends on the specific laptop/motherboard. Read the manual for that one.
