oh interesting .. will look into this when back from computex.

can anyone confirm?

Have had zero issues with the new driver on either my 3080ti or 4090 based systems so far.

Same prob here with 535.98.
I did a simple debloated version with just telemetry off and a more advanced debloated one.
Both failed to install.
Ended up installing the Guru3d clean version too.
Hope Techpowerup can update NVCleanstall it's an amazing and useful tool.
Gratz

Which Telemetry OFF, the Setup one or the one in hidden settings (beta) ?.. i only set the setup telemetry OFF and HDCP (that i can do in registry myself).

i did a nvcleaninstall with latest drivers on my gtx 1070 last night. no idea about sizes, but everything working great for me. i disabled telemetry etc.

This might help, I did normal Nvida install w/o GFE and since I didn't use NVcleanstall when I went to the task scheduler to disable the telemetry, there was none.
Talking about these, like 3 or 4 of them before

So maybe how they changed telemetry now is affecting NVcleanstall with the telemetry disabled option.

The "apply NVENC encoder patch" causes installation failure for me.

Disabling it allows as normal.

Works for me, usual debloated driver + audio + PhysX redistributable only. No other tweaks applied.

Installer crashes for me and my 3080. Recommended components only, and disable telemetry & unattended installation tweaks.

The Nvidia splash appears, and then crashes after a second or so of "checking system compatibility".

Can provide further debug info if required.

I confirm:

536.09 also works for me, same configuration: graphics driver, audio driver, PhysX redist, no tweaks applied.

@dgianstefani @ORLY could it be because keylase's patch hasn't been updated for r535 drivers yet? Looks like the devs *just* updated it for the Linux release or r535

No it could not, it is there: https://github.com/keylase/nvidia-patch

You don't need to reinstall PhysX each time, even using DDU it gives you the option to uninstall PhysX in the first place, after install Nvidia driver will recognize the pre-installed version as "same".

//

Me, i only disabled setup telemetry and DHCP, tried only in Win 11 (where i had a message about setup being not good).

I am aware but I DDU'd and removed everything to test

So I just tried on my work machine and I could install the drivers just fine. Only Display Driver, and these tweaks:

+ rebuild signature / easy-anti-cheat / skip warning

@W1zzard

I noticed on standard install I don't have task scheduler telemetry anymore so if they changed how they do that now might cause issue when try to remove it.
these are gone for me now.

Report:

worked (same version btw) on 536.67 (yesterday)...

OKay
