The DimasTech BenchTable Easy is a metal overclocking/testing station with the possibility to hold large water cooling kits. Unlike some other tables out there, you can stuff this puppy with three optical drives, four hard drives and add double or triple radiators to the rig. On top of that, you can freely choose from a whole array of colors to customize the look of your own Bench Table.

Nice review. While this benchtable doesn't look like the best choice... I really wish I didn't have computer retards and pesky cats in my house... Otherwise I'd so get a benchtable for part switching ease and stuff. Sum day :p

very nice review, compliments to TechPowerUp and Vahid for the very good work, i had to say that this bench table project starts in april 2007 with the first bench table Easy V1, and than the revision V1.4.
This Easy V2 used in the review comes after 1 year from first V1.1 and now it's a 1 year old project.
The next revision V3 will be going out in next months and will take care about all the suggestions from reviewer/tester/modders/and normal users.

thanks

Nice review DarkSaber, two questions:
1st when is not having an owners manual a bad thing? I would think those few people that order a Tech Bench are inclined enough to setup and install everything themselves(not that you're not)

2nd how is the paint/coating? Smooth to the touch or rough?

Thanks mlee!

1. Valid point. At least the different areas of the base plate should be labled (maybe with stickers for example) so that you at least know what part is suppose to be secured at what location. I do think that not having any starting point can be quite frustrating when realizing that you forgot to put in the buttons after assembling the entire thing for example :D

2. The paint can be considered good. It is by no means perfect. It seems a bit grainy and the bottom, rounded corners have a little "pile" of paint (probally from running down when being painted) which may crack under pressure. I do not see that as a deal breaker though.

cheers
DS

I noticed you commented about the environmentally unfriendly packaging. This is a big issue with many companies and something I was reading about recently. I read that even though Apple just recently started making their laptops "greener" their shipping materials and things like that are far worse than other companies with similar products. For instance every single ipod they sell comes in a plastic container.

sorry about the rant, that little comment just caught my eye. I bet there are plenty of companies far worse.
