When i want to execute older software, i get harassed by said Microsoft Malware so which stops the execution against my will.

What i tried:

- Disabled the Service.
- Group Policy Editor: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Application Compatibility -> "Turn off Program Compatibility Assistant": active
- Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\AppCompat DWORD (32-bit) -> "DisablePCA": 1
- renamed the c:\windows\system32\pcasvc.dll to .old

I still get harassed by that Microsoft Annoyance:

How do i get rid of it?
And - i know what i am doing.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, i did try that without success.

For an explanation: i hate windows 10.
But as a lot of money is used by microsoft to pressure other software companies to stop supporting windows 7 even though it is almost binary compatible, i try to migrate. But i will only use windows 10 if i can command my os to do what _I_ want, to execute _MY_ programs even if they crash. and thats what i am trying to accomplish. i will not move an inch for microsoft.

I suspect it is some kind of built in smart screen like thing. As i do not do any updates at all ever, i would resort to hacking dlls exes belonging to windows. But i cant find anything on that matter. Back in the day there were hacks on everything that annoyed the customers. Part of the problem is google censorship... Where are those hacking heros from 10-15 years ago?

are you using the latest version of DT? because it works perfectly fine on two machines that i use with W11 23H2

i am using the old version because only the old version can emulate drm correctly. to be specific i am mounting lotr - bfme which is detected as pirated with the new version of daemon tools.

also - working around the problem does not help the core problem. if windows 10 thinks it can dictate the version of daemon tools i m running it certainly will dictate anything else i can not foresee atm. and that i want to remove.
