The following is an example of what happens to me https://imgur.com/a/Q6MLB
Here is my drive specs https://imgur.com/a/ttwpL

It will always be pushing the limits of the drive. It pushes it at .5mb/s write speed to even 70mb/s write speed. It acts like it has to exert effort for every task it performs, and anything outside of that specific task it won't be able to process as fast.

I've tried changing MSISupported key from “1” to “0” for my inbox AHCI driver.

I've also tried going to "services.msc" and looking for "Windows Search" and "Superfetch." I've disabled both of those and restarted my PC several times.

After that I downloaded treesize and went through my drive storage. I uninstalled a ton of stuff and reduced my drive storage from 1.7 terabytes to 1.3.

I'm sorta at a loss here. This issue has been persistent for the past couple of weeks. Not sure what could be causing it. Please help me.

Your specs in your profile are incomplete. I can't even see you images
It's hard to tell what your talking about. The drive speed? How many partitions? Page file? What else have you changed? Did it use to run better?

With something like this you need a baseline. A benchmark to compare proformance. Is it proforming as it should?

1 MB/s and it's at 94% disk use? It should be 100-200 MB/s for 94% disk use. I'd start with replacing the SATA data cable. If that doesn't fix it, plug it into a different SATA port on the motherboard. Between the two of those, it should be fixed.

If I'm right, what's happening is that there's a really, really high error rate so 99% of the bandwidth is being used to retransmit data that was lost/caught by error-correction code. As a result, very little data gets successfully transferred...enough that the drive appears to be working but performance is horrendous. I've seen it happen before across several systems.

Everything you have done is wrong. Your specs in your profile are incomplete. I can't even see you images

Unfortunately I didn't take any diagnostics before this issue but it's got 3 partitions. The exact amount of space used will be shown in that second image.

I'd say this issue started about two weeks ago, definitely not running like it should be. I used to be able to download games from steam over 60gb in under an hour, but now it takes me at least two when it acts up like this.

This issue doesn't happen all the time though. But I can't tell a pattern on when it does or does not do it. It's very random and will continue to act up for hours.

run a A/V scan to make sure nothing bad is hiding in svchost

then maybe check defrag? or boot into safe mode. it being SO active with so little transfer is troubling.....seems unhealthy'ish...im guessing trojan or other PuP

Run so hard drive tests. HDTune, crystal disk test and info

if all else fails, replace the drive (backup all your important files before doing so)

Check smart data with a tool, as Jetster said.
