Ok, so i got a Dlink DGL-4500 Gamer router, its awesome and all but my D-Link Di-524 seemd to let me torrent faster.

I could get 1mbps down from the D-Link Di-524 but with the Dlink DGl-4500 i can only get about 500-700

any idea?
 
i changed my ip to static and my internet just crashed. torrent was faster than usaul (this one is averaging about 300) i got 550.

got any idea about the static ip?
 
Has your ISP assigned you a static IP?
 
umm, i don't know lol.

it goes faster if its static.
 
Being static (fixed IP) or dynamic (not fixed IP) wont make any difference. What ISP do you have?
 
im returning it. I got my other dlink router hooked up and my torrent works fine now.
