Simple question for those, who knows a thing about networking. I have ISP's router. I connected TP-Link Archer C5 to it's LAN1 and made TP-Link as access point (C5 doesn't have that function by default, so I just disabled DHCP). I see TP-Link Archer C5 IP Address on my ISP's router LAN1 port. I want to use DMZ (open all ports) for Xbox One. Xbox One is connected to access point Archer C5 via WiFi. My question is: I have to add to ISP's router DMZ section IP of Xbox One or Archer C5? Or I have to add to ISP's routers DMZ section IP of my access point and to access point DMZ - Xbox One IP address? I still wondering, if C5 working without DHCP have with all ports opened, I mean they are managed by ISP's router.

Thanks.

I'm having a challenge following, but for DMZ, you need to assign the ip address of whatever device you want "DMZd" to the Router's configuration, whichever of your devices is doing that. So, whomever is handling Routing/DHCP, that's who needs the DMZ info.

To rephrase, go into whichever device does DHCP, and in the firewall section of that configuration, under DMZ, input the IP address of your XBox. Ideally, the XBox needs to have a static address. You're looking for "Default DMZ Server", or "DMZ Host IP Address", something like that.

I'm so sorry for my messy explanation. I understand, that DMZ must be set on my ISP's router (this main router is handling DHCP) and there I have to enter Xbox One's IP address. My question is this: will DMZ work, if Xbox One is connected via WiFi to another router (this router have DHCP disabled), which is connected to ISP's routers LAN1 port? I don't need to do anything on another router/access point? Thanks for answering.

That is correct. Your second device is basically acting as a wireless switch at that point, and all "routing" is handled by the ISP router. The DMZ process is part of that "routing", and is done in the ISP device.
