Do game use AVX?

I set AVX 2 and sync core 50 and in game the cpu runs at 4.8ghz. I thought games use no AVX and cpu should stay at 5ghz?

Any games with DirectX 12 support are utilizing AVX/AVX2. Microsoft's .net framework or .net core has capability of using AVX/AVX2.

Most software nowdays use dipatchers to determine if the CPU supports AVX, and use it if needed.
