I'm just about to buy a new mobo, cpu, and power supply. These are the ones I'm looking at.

motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131541

cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103533

power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153023

I'm having trouble determining if the extra 4-pin main power connector is necessary. The motherboard seems to have it placed in a very awkward place, very far away from the rest of the connector. The power supply has sleeves around the cables, preventing them from being seperated so that the 4-pin could reach.

Should I get a power supply without the sleeves, will the extra connector even be necessary, or can I use another connector from the power supply in that place?

The 4 pin connector is only necessary if you want your computer to have a CPU .
