I'm starting to discover the different possibilities of KODI. in certain ways kodi feels a lot like the windows 8 interface... With the ability to get apps, custom skins and streaming

I'm using an HTPC and have discovered that kodi has MANY things it can do.

Up to now I've found out that I can use KODI for streaming, youtube browsing, local files playing and cross platform usage (cell phone, laptop, network etc)

So here is what I'd like to ask you experts:

What else can I do with kodi?
Can I use it like I use my Facebook app on my cell phone? Can I use it to mirror stuff? (like screen mirroring my cell phone or even another PC?)
Can I use it to stream some gaming from another PC in the house to the htpc? Can I use it along with Skype?

In short, I'd like to use kodi to AVOID having to fiddle around in Windows 8 on my HTPC. The windows interface just seems too small on my tv and not as user friendly.

Oh and I've got a "smart home control" Logitech universal remote and a Logitech k830 wireless keyboard.

Is there a way to use my Logitech remote to control xmbc kodi on the htpc?

I did a quick google search which seems to indicate that I need an IR receiver for my PC. I'm not sure but I think the k830 Logitech keyboard might already contain that correct? That unified receiver things?

You can always set a lower resolution in the Windows interface and a higher on the kodi interface. So things are bigger when you aren't in Kodi.
