Does an undervolted GPU keep the undervolt when installed in a new machine?

Just curious if the undervolt is just done through software (that no setting change is stored on the GPU itself) and if installed in a new machine it will have default settings again.

Say, I buy a 7800XT and undervolt in machine A. Later I install this undervolted GPU in machine B, is it still undervolted?

No, overclock or undervolt made in any software are not kept on the card itself. But you can export the profiles and move them to a new machine.

If you want to keep the undervolt without having to redo it (or copy the settings) you'd have to write it on the card's firmware. Possible on older cards, but on newer ones they're encrypted.
