Does Chrome still not have a read mode like Firefox? Or am I missing it somewhere?

I like to read on Sparknotes sometimes, and read mode in Firefox is quite handy, gets rid of all the bloat that even ublock origin doesn't get rid of.

Just wondering, I tried Chrome Canary too, and regular Chrome, neither one has a read button to be found anywhere like Firefox does. Am I missing it? Or do I just have to stick with Firefox?

thats not fair lol

I did this a couple years ago and it said you had to go do a bunch of fancy stuff in chrome hidden settings that are hard to access. Firefox is literally just one click... my question I guess really is why does Chrome make it so hard to use and not just come standard on front page as Firefox does? its 2020 ffs

And the hidden read mode is not accessible on my chrome for some (unknown) reasons.
