Depends on your definition of "3D Gaming":
* Regular gaming where the graphics is internally rendered in a virtual 3D environment before being presented in 2D is "supported" by just about all monitors on the market. If this is your question then the more relevant question is if your graphics card is up to the task of running said games at the monitor's native resolution...
* If you're referring to 3D such as Nvidia 3D Vision it's also a "yes".
* If you're referring to 3D such as 3D-TV where no special glasses/goggles are required, then no.

I was indeed referring at nvidia 3d vision.
I'm quite new to 3d vision.

I have Panasonic active 3d Glasses for my 3d tv
Can I use those with nvidia 3d vision?
My system will have a gtx 1080

The manual isn't really straightforward if it's compatible or not. However it has a note in it, stating this:

3D visual effects require 3D-compatible software, nVidia® 3D Vision™ glasses
and a compatible nVidia® 3D graphics card.

Note: Flickering may be caused due to differences in 3D Vision refresh
rate and the lighting of your environment. You may turn off your
light or change the 3D Vision refresh rate to avoid flickering. For more
information, visit the nVidia® Website: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/

So maybe it's compatible after all.

Tell me about it lol, i say screw that if they cannot say yes or no it's not bye bye time to go to another manufacture lol.

Best way might be to use their chat, or email them at the least and ask. And never by phone if your thinking about buying as that allows them to BS.

I concur with that, it's fishy. Acer wasn't my favourite brand anyway.

That should be up to Panasonic to answer.

Anyway the monitor is irrelevant for functionality.

I'm not trying to figure out if I can play nvidia 3d vision on my Panasonic tv

I'm trying to figure out if I can play nvidia 3d vision on my gaming monitor xb241yu using my PANASONIC active 3d Glasses....
Or any active 3d Glasses for the matter (other than nvidia's)

Which is why Panasonic should be able to tell if those glasses are (supposed to be) compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision.

I notice I made a mistake earlier. The monitor must be ran at 120Hz. If the Acer can do that it should be fine.

The monitor is 144hz overclockable to 165hz

Just because a monitor can do 120hz or higher doesn't mean it can do 3D, mine for example cant.

If the glasses are compatible to Nvidia 3D, yes. Like the ones from Asus for example.
