Hello thar.

There isn't possibly a driver that automatically enables the backlighting on mechanical keyboard (Fn + Num8 on my MK-80), is there? According to QPad's official website, there doesn't seem to be any drivers what so ever for the MK-80...

It would be quite a relief when booting up Windows, to have the thing automated.

Cheers.

Unfortunately it sounds very likely that is the case, having the back-light be controlled through the internal keyboard logic would eliminate the need for any custom drivers, which is the preferred solution for a keyboard

Does your computer offer the ability to maintain power to the usb ports when turned off?

Hm, highly doubt it. Taking a peek at Power Options I noticed "USB Selective Suspend Setting" was enabled, but I wouldn't say that would've solved much.

Quick second-thought question, is this a common case with backlit keyboards? Having to manually lit it everytime? I believe mostly higher tier keyboards like Corsair's RGB ones actually comes with drivers for handling that sort of stuff.

I can only speak for Logitech personally, but the back-light for my keyboard is on full white without any drivers running, there is a button to turn it on and off, and that works fine without any drivers, installing the drivers will let you change the colour and brightness of keys whilst the driver is running

Power over usb when the computer is off would be controlled in the bios, as your operating system will not be running whilst the computer is off
