Can do on some Intel mobos with Intel chipsets.I saw once as It was said in an Intel manual :p :p(that piece of rough toilet paper)But the memory speeds,timings everything must be identical except the size.But I'm 99% not sure of that.Besides I saw Tomshardware took out a review for parallel processing.It showed that doing dual channel have none to slim performance increases.:p

Impossible, unless half the memory on the 1GB would not be used. As for performance increase, memory bandwidth goes up by nearly 100%, memory intensive tasks really require it.

but be prepared for random runtime errors.
