hi all, I just got a 25 inch widescreen for christmas, so I now have a dual monitor setup using the new one as primary and my old 20 inch as secondary. Now they work fine, there's no issue with that, but what I want to be able to do is run fullscreen games on primary and be able to use the other monitor without having to alt+tab for webbrowsing, email, yahoo, vent, etc.been looking thru nvidia options, I don't really see an option for setup of hotkey to change focus over to the secondary.The only way i can get it to work is to alt+tab out of the game. I don't see the point of dual monitors if u still have to alt+tab out of game. Any advice on assigning hotkey, or a program maybe is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that what you want to do has little to nothing to do with the video drivers (nVidia).
AFAIK, the mouse must be "released" from the game that is using it, and changes are that if your are running it in full-screen it never will (never seen a game that supported this, neither know how to implement such a system). So either the game supports that mouse release or you must play it in window mode.
I might be wrong 'thou, things might have changed on later Operative Systems and their window manager might be able to cope with that/solve that issue.
 
yea, i was doin some reading and everyone seemed to agree with windowed mode aswell. figured i'd give it a shot and see if anyone knew anything or maybe encountered a similiar problem.
 
It's pretty easy to create a full-screen application that supports what you want to do, but modern games no longer use regular windows in full-screen mode (last time I checked, at least D3D applications, OpenGL is another story, but still there would need to be the "mouse release" support on that application).
It sucks to play a game on a window mode, but at least you avoid the time needed by the systems to Alt-Tab in and out of the game.

yea, thanks for your advice. guess i'll just sell the 20 inch and just go back to my norm way of alt tabbin out to do other things.
