Amazon Luna, the online game streaming service, has officially announced that it will be expanding further into Europe, introducing availability in Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Sweden. The launch includes both the free-to-play games available via Amazon Prime Gaming and the standalone Luna+ subscription service. Along with that announcement, it was also revealed that Amazon Luna has entered into a multi-year partnership with EA to bring some of the game studio's AAA hits to Luna+ members. EA joins GOG, Ubisoft, and Jackbox Games as publishers and game studios whose games are now available on Luna.

Kicking off the EA partnership are Star Ward: Jedi Survivor, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, and Dead Space. Unlike the Ubisoft and Jackbox games, which require an additional subscription tier to access, EA's games are available in the basic Luna+ subscription. Amazon says that more EA games will be coming to Luna soon, specifically mentioning the EA Sports portfolio, although it did not specify which games or say when they would be coming to the platform. With Luna's expansion into more European countries, Amazon is also increasing the availability of the Luna controller, which connects directly to the cloud game streaming servers for reduced latency. The Luna controller will now be available in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Sweden for €69.99 MSRP or 799.99 SEK, with introductory sales bringing prices down to €44.99 and 519.99 SEK, respectively. The Luna controller is not yet available in Portugal, but it will launch there later this year. Luna+ subscribers can play on a variety of devices, including Mac, Windows, iOS/iPadOS, Android, and ChromeOS devices (via Chrome or Safari web browsers), as well as Amazon Fire tablets and TVs and Samsung and LG TVs.

How many cloud gaming services need to fail before they finally give up. It's a very strange thing, I wonder how they keep getting the green light on these things.

Amazon have time and money.
For now, I've tried once, and it was working.
Like every other streaming media, I'm sure it will work flawless one day.
I have mixed feelings about this ... Is this really a good idea ? :)

Ok, I've used Stadia in the past and latency and quality was very good (ofc GFN is superior, but it's just a PC version).
Amazon Luna, I've tried yesterday and it gave me an impression to have Stadia quality levels, altough, consistency for now seems way worse, I felt stutters and framedrops, It's hard to tell if it's the hardware having issues with the games like shader stutters or stuff like that (given this is also a PC version running) or if is simply the connection.

Just tried Syberia The World Before, and it didn't felt 60 FPS and felt inconsistence as hell, like some areas were more demanding, the graphics menu was there, but .. at medium settings and with those specs Luna has, it was suppose to be silky smooth, but it isn't.
Just tried on my mere 1650 Super and at the same settings I have rock bottom 60 FPS with no sutters, no framedrops, and ofc better quality, I don't understand why Luna is performing so bad.
Stadia had the worse model of it all, and dispite the hardware was nothing special for it's time, the games were consistence and optimized towards that hardware, a little bit like a console. Amazon Luna seems like a mix in between Stadia and GFN, but it seems to fail at being the best of both and only accomplish to be the worse of both services.

The only thing good about Luna, is that it includes a couple of games on Amazon Prime subscriptions (which i have one, since my internet provider gave me 2 years of it and I do use massively for orders anyway) and we can also play a couple of GOG games (very few), so it's a very very very cheap service that allows to play nonetheless, but I'm quite disappointed to be honest.

XCloud seems more stable overall and have a good game offering, but it is way to expensive for anyone to consider it as a cloud service only, also it has an awful image quality.
GFN still remains king IMO; but it is specific more and less to PC market users, for users that want a traditional console experience on cloud, I think that most of them just fail at some aspects, just like Stadia failed entirelly in their business model.

EDIT: Honestly I'm rooting for Luna, mostly because they allow people to play their GOG games (very few but their intention is to raise the library), and for a price of an amazon Prime that have so much advantages, it can mean that I can play this games outside just fine without paying more than I had before (because I've already own a Prime subscription), also people retain the games and if Luna fails, at least those games are on your GOG accounts and are not lost in the void.
