Hello to everyone,
I'm doing a build and I want to use ECC UNBUFFERED MEMORY and I need or want is 128 GB. That will be FOUR(4) sticks @ 32 GB each. The two types that I'm looking towards are Micron & Kingston. I know that posting a question will get mixed answers because everyone has there preference but, since I have already invested in my build, I want to protect it for many years to come. Yes my motherboard can support it as well as my CPU and the rest of my components. If anyone wants to know what parts I'm using just ask. I don't need to know part numbers because I already have them. Thank you in advance, have a great day/night, and be safe!! I say that about being safe because our daughter just got out of the hospital and is home from being on a VENTILATOR for almost two weeks. She has STAGE FOUR(4) COPD. Just be safe!! THANKS AGAIN!

1) What I need to know is out of the two mentioned which is the best and why would you pick the one your mentioning??

Sincerely eagle12426

Guessing this isn't a gaming build, I'd say get whatever is cheaper. The difference will be miniscule and both are quality brands.

I use kingston, but micron wouldn't bother me, I think the memory chips of kingston ecc are all micron (e-die) in that capacity.

Thank you both for your response! You are correct Blue4130 it is NOT going to be for gaming. It's for some calculations, no I'm not into the Mining thing. Tetras, thank you on your input. I'm VERY concerned about protecting my DATA and this will be on AUTO BACKUP every or almost every second if I can manage to get it to do that. Have not even started to build it yet but, getting the parts, the best or close to it, when they become available. It's a slow process but will be worth it when done! Thanks again have a nice day/evening and be safe!
