Hi all,

I have mentioned GPU (core r423, 256MB mem) in my laptop and obtained the BIOS via manufacturer. (see attached)
-I'm a bit afraid to edit/amend the BIOS and flash it as I don't know what this will do to, for instance to Powerplay.
-I also would like to know if amending tv-out to PAL is possible (and what is PAL-60?).
-I don't know my mem-type, how can I findout?

Who can advise or has experience with modifying Mobility BIOS?

standard clock:
450c/500m
3dmark05: 5402
max overclock (with ATI tool):
500c/540m
3dmark05: 5902

mem timings from BIOS:
tWL = 1.5
tCL = 3
tCMD = 0 clock
tSTB = tWL
tRcdRD = 7
tRcdWR = 4
tRP = 5
tRAS = 6
tRRD = 6
tR2W = CL + 2
tWR = 7
tW2R = 0
tW2Rsb = tW2R Rule
tR2R = 1
MemRR = 3C
tRFC = 21
tRBS = CL + 2
tERST = CL - 2
tQSREQ = CL - 2
tDQM = WL - 1
tDQS = WL - 1
tDQM_Adv = As specified
tDQS_Adv = As specified

Flashing the laptop bios. It will probably overheat. I would stay away. I have a laptop with a mobility 9600, but I don't need to flash it. Overclock it with ATI tool.

But I know my GPU can reach higher speeds.
standard:
450/500
max save OC:
500/540

I'm thinking of setting the clock a little bit higher and tweak the memory timings.
But I don't know how to do so and don't know what this will do to Powerplay (which I also use often).
