EK impressed before with its new Quantum Surface S360 and X360M radiators in the 30-mm and 60-mm thickness classes respectively, and today we examine the P360M that slots between the two at 44 mm in thickness. It shares more in common with the bigger X360M in features and performance too, so you owe it to yourself to go through this review should you be in the market for a new radiator.

I was not expecting much from this rad but I'm glad to see it's so much better than the disappointing pe240 I have sitting in the bottom of my rad bin. I can say I'm impressed with EK making an honest effort to improve their rad lineup. I've always liked the xe and ce rads but that was about it. It's nice to see they have finally improved the smaller rads as well.

I just wanted to say thank god they finally added more fittings - after seeign other brands having 5x G1/4, it made me realise just how dumb a mere two fittings is.

Looks like a decent performing rad, with good fitting locationjs for fill/drain and linking to another rad

The relative performance chart is fantastic

The relative performance graph on the second-to-last page is just *chef’s kiss*.
I suggest doing the thickness class colors in the various fan speed graphs too, so I don’t have to try to remember the names and relative thicknesses of the various rads.
BTW, when I’m going to change case to a bigger one (I’m looking at the great Lancool III White) and swith from 2x240 to 2x360 rads (bye bye money) I’m going to buy the 30mm thick (or better thin) version of those.

It's not easy to let us see a best to worst in performance, and keep sizes in there

You could probably find a way to have the sizes written in, but the colours worked well enough
"Okay i need a 30mm rad, so whats the best blue rad" = happy reader

Clearly seeing that 30mm rads outperform some 60mms is also really, really useful information

I prefere low fan noise, so the S or P would come into question. Due to space “issues“ in the case the P would just fit with some little mods on the case.

S would fit perfectly fine. But Im a bit afraid if I would loose much performance compared to the P.

Any toughts on this from you?

//edit: I can fit three 360 rads in the case.

I have (maybe not the best static preassure fans) already 10 lian li SL fans. Planning to reuse them (money vise)

In that case, I'd say you won't see a lot of difference between the S and P tbh. Go with the S to save cash and space alike.

If space is an issue and/or the extra money I'd agree... However, I'd argue if space isn't a concern and the extra money won't impact your build or savings otherwise (and if so there's cheaper rads out there than these that perform well) I would argue the P series seems to make the most sense actually. You get 3 extra ports, less flow restriction, more coolant capacity, slightly more thermal dissipation capacity (particularly if you can run push-pull also) and I'd think the slightly lower FPI (again, especially with push-pull) should also cut down slightly of fan noise over the rad... But that's just my thinking.
They seemed to really punch above their weight with that S class though, so getting pretty nitpicky with the P, but I feel like the P offers enough extra benefits with thermal capacity and ports, versus the X class, which seems to be much less of an improvement over the P series than the P series is over the S series and thus harder for me to justify unless you just really want extra rad in your build - in that case though I'd probably look at something like the SR2 for the low fan optimization, extra ports and super low flow restriction.
That's been my thoughts when looking at radiator options to fill out my v3000+ build and so I'm thinking SR2 480 at the bottom where space isn't an issue, a P480m at the front in push-pull with 28-30mm thick fans (won't work with the 58mm rad) or maybe a GTX 480 (hard to decide, but leaning P480m for the extra ports and lower flow restriction) and then either another 480m or X480m up top or maybe even another SR2.

So hard to decide, but that's been my thought process so far. With all that rad and tubing/fittings, flow restriction is important and thickness is nice where it's not an issue just to have it, but I feel the SR2 takes better advantage of it than the x360m.
