Having all these different launchers sucks but the more competition the better it is for the consumer. That said the exclusives do suck even if they are just for a year.

There is an interesting development that has come with Epic and exclusives. I did not learn about (or did not pay attention to information) Control until I was watching a PC world video and they mentioned it. I look up the game on Steam and add it to my wish list. Humble is having a winter sale and I see a notification that Control is 33% off. Wow I thought this is Humble not Green Man Gaming? So of course I buy the game (with an additional 20% off for Humble Monthly). I have an Epic account but I never really did any really granular exploration of the platform. I will say that Control is my favourite Game to play as I am enjoying it more than Jedi Fallen Order(A game I bought using my $10 discount on Epic). Without Epic none of this would have been possible.
