The Epic Games Store offers free titles for players who sign in and claim them. So far, it’s been a nice little bonus to those who are willing to split their game library to another game launcher. Beginning April 28, there’ll be a slight barrier between players and their free Epic-granted games: two-factor authentication.
From April 28 to May 21, the Epic Games Store will require two-factor authentication (2FA) before someone can claim their free games. With two-factor authentication, players will need to enter a separate security code before signing in to their account.
