EVGA 680I Custom Bios?

Is there any sort of hacked bios for the EVGA 680i that will let you raise the CPU voltage past 1.5 volts?

I don't want to have to sell the motherboard and replace it just so I can get some good overclocks...

Really the board only lets you do 1.5??? I thought voltages were more chipset specific than a bios thing, especially with the 680.

My Striker lets me do insane voltages, so high I'd not dare using them...

Yeah, I don't know why it is limited... its the first time I've ever seen that on a motherboard that wasn't budget

Thats very odd cup, you have updated BIOs? or tried a different set of BIOs i personally owned a 680i a while back and i know for sure it can do up to 1.7v+ for the CPU and 1.5v for the FSB and 1.55v for the NB

Ah ok yeap that the Max for 680i. The 780i only has a max of 1.4v.. consider yourself lucky haha

wow... 1.4v!? isn't the EVGA 780i considered an enthusiast board as well?

I'd need minimum 1.6 before I could get some good overclocks on any motherboard... 1.7 would be nice

yea i think it really sucks, i cant do beyond 1880mhz FSB(470) without Windows crashing at bootup because of the damn 1.4v FSB volt limit.

Did you ever try the XFX BIOS, i tried it on my 680i Board and it found i could push higher FSB speeds then the Evga BIOS. I don't rememeber the voltage levels on the bios tho. I since have moved to a Blood iron board,a nd i found it clocks my quad very well compared to my nvida board
