It was yesterday when the EVGA Precision utility first became available, and now just a day later here's a brand new version released. The EVGA Precision 1.01 features the following changes:
  • Added desktop shortcut creation feature to the installer
  • Fixed problem with instance checking in the installer
  • Added display driver version detection for Vista x64

lol nice, and i just downloaded 1.0!

that was fast...to bad it stil doesnt work with ATi cards..

It's meant for NVIDIA cards only, dude. Ever heard EVGA offering ATI cards? Besides, ATI sucks... :p

this doesnt work in the games:mad: doesnt display on the screen when you in game but does work in 3dmark:laugh:

works for me in game...At least in Age of Empires..:D

Nice program but still very light on features. I like that it doesn't require running to have the GPU overclocked though (I guess there would be a background program somewhere to monitor keystrokes as Ctrl+D puts them back to default).

One thing though is I want an artifact scanner lol :(

Nice little program...thanks! Ohhhh and hello to all, first post, visited many times as a guest to get some hints, thought I would take the plunge :toast:

Welcome! :toast:

It works with my AMBER G15 keyboard perfect...

Will it work with not eVGA cards? Other nvidia cards, I mean...

yes it works with all cards that use an nvidia display driver

I can vouch for that but I am wondering how accurate this is, it just tested my GTS and passed it at 875mhz on the core with shaders linked!

well what does gpu-z say?

It confirms the clocks exactly, I guess I had better try running a game to see if the card will actually run at those clocks.....if it does, well I will be very happy as this card cost me the price of a cheap 8800GT.

not a bad idea

This thing works great! :)...It's simpler than Riva-Tuner (another great little program) AND it DOES work in games... It's running on the upper left hand side of my screen while playing Crysis. I can't do anything with my shader clocks, probably because I have 2 first run 8800GTS's? (The 640mb models)

I like it better than rivatuner.. but the fail part of it is the G15 display is pretty dull. But it does its job.

This is interesting tool. Now i need to see if it will allow me to OC more my GTS

Its user friendliness is very good. Nice and simple to use. The downside... that little test thing does nothing. I click test, and it pops up saying "good to go!" then it crashes.. i still have to use ATItool to check for stability...

can somebody upload this on tpu, cos i cant be arsed becomin evga member just to download it

Handy Utility.....the only problem is does not allow me to OC my card than what Riva Tuner allows me. But still pretty nifty tool.

...and somehow I'm still using ATI Tool to scan for artifacts on my Nvidia GPU. Can we just get you guys all in a a boat and demand lower GPU prices and friendly assistance w/ drivers? Seriously, why does Asus hardware work so much better than the software? Why can't I get a damn "winamp" like resizable on the box instead of the vert bars?

Ugh...wake me when Real Precision Tool 3.0 comes out...
