Shortly after Razer, EVGA hits the market with their own 8000 Hz polling-rate mouse. In addition to PixArt's PMW3389, the X17 uses two LOD sensors to achieve the lowest and most accurate lift-off distance possible. Particularly responsive spring-loaded main buttons and a highly granular weight system round things off.

1000Hz polling for a 240Hz screen is surely fast enough for a human being? Other than potential compatibility problems, I can't imagine there being any perceptible difference between 1000MHz and 8000MHz.

I can't even feel the difference between 250Hz and 1000Hz. Hell, I struggled to tell the difference between 200Hz and 100Hz back in the days of overclocking our PS/2 mice using PS2Rate.

Gawd that "sniper" button is unnecessarily huge :kookoo::wtf::fear:

The front reminds me of a Corsair mouse but I can't remember which...

Marketing for all those "gaming suckas" ;)

Same. Isn't it the same as high dpi gimmick back then?
The highest I ever use is 1500 Dpi for some games (normally at 1000dpi). Higher than that my cursor will be out of control. I can't imagine anyone using 12000dpi. Lol.

Same, 1200cpi is enough for me and I have an 800cpi preset for legacy gaming where I want to invoke muscle-memory for headshots etc.

Every review of silly-high CPI mice proves that the accuracy, latency, and linearity of mouse sensors goes to hell beyond about 2000cpi, making >2000cpi a pointless marketing gimmick for the gullible.

I also can’t understand extremely high DPIs...
Also, as I’m extremely crappy with shooter games (which I play only if the have a good story, like Bioshock ones), I usually play with 1600dpi and win10 set at about half speed, no enhanced precision. I also have a second DPI setting at 400dpi, useful for some games that require precision.
