Hello guys,
I wanted to ask the community, if someone know, why the distance of the socket bore diameter are different at older Mainboards. Those who was launched with the first generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs. The 1700X for example used the X350/ X360 or X370 chipsets
I had experienced, that's the bore diameter isn't the same at the next generation boards. With the X450 /X460 /X470. I own 3 Rigs, all builded with the base of AMD CPUs and 2 with AMD Ryzen GPUs too.
I wanted to do one Upgrade who included one Ryzen 7-5700X3D and one RTX 4080 Super.
Cuz of the Mammut size of this GPU beast, I had to change to another older case with the ASUS Crosshair VI Hero WiFi Mainboard with X370. The first I choosed initially was one newer ASRock Taichi X470 WiFi.
I wanted to install the first time one AIO water cooling solution.
All the PCs I had build up in the past, were cooled by Air fans.
As I did spend so much money with the Graphics card already, I choosed for one cheaper product. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III-280 A-RGB.
But when I disassemble the old Air Cooler tower, I saw that the bore diameter is about a half cm more than the brackets, who were delivered.with this product. I had the idea to check if the brackets would fit in the X470 chipset Mainboard . And for my big surprise they did so exactly.
I wanted to return the water freezer, but now I'll take the another board and settle him to a new monster Case. Do you guys know the brand Montech. I never heard of them. Well it's pretty amazing. For 118€ Euros you get one solid thick steel case with thick tempered glass too. This is going around, from the front over the side. Very large and very heavy too. The Model type is named King Pure 95. It's exists the Pro version. This comes equipped with 4x120mm A-RGB fans. At the bottom 3x and 1x at the rear. The side has 2x140mm fans A-RGB. And on the roof are possible the same number as are at the bottom. Or 2x140mm instead. The price is awesome . Only 165€ Euros in Germany.I bought the Pro version.
Okay that's all for now. Good weekend .
