Hey guys, im wondering what other settings/adjustmants i can tweak or modify to achieve a greater overclock out of my system. Be it adding more voltage, adjusting bus speeds and multi's, or a combination of both.

I seem to be hitting a wall getting my cpu over the 4ghz barrier with acceptable temps however I also seem to hit a heat barrier for lack of a better term where as I continue to apply more volts and multipliers all over the place the heatsink just seems to hold the load steady
.
Ill list the approximate settings of my current OC

Cpu: 955BE C2 stepping @ 3924mhz with an 18x multi @ about 1.525V
FSB: 218
CPU-nb multi: 2834mhz with a 13x multi @ 1.55V
HT: 2180mhz with 10x multi
DDR: 4 x 2gig @ 1744mhz 8x multi @ 1.9V with 8-8-8-24 2T timing

Motherboard is gigabyte ga790fxt ud5p and all other system specs are listed in sig thingo.

Im starting to think that this gigabyte board might be my problem in pushing anything further, but you never know?! So if you have had any luck with something please let me know, as I would like to get my system to the absolute limit with any luck.

Cheers

What are you temps like @3.924 with the 1.52voltage?

pushing into the low 50's with the heater on, if i open the window, they seem to peak at 49-50 running prime95 torture test. I used to run it up to 60 when i had liquid cooling, but i ditched that for the megahalems
