Is it still possible for end users to get a copy of the ASUS XOC BIOS for the 2080ti? I'd be interested to see what watercoolers have been able to achieve with that BIOS on their 2080ti's.
You mean flashing 2080 Ti to 1080 Ti? That wouldn't work. NVIDIA encrypts the VBIOS, which is why you cannot just modify your own. I know at least the 2080 Ti FE cards were burning up with those XOC vBIOS.

So the 2080ti ASUS XOC BIOS was actually killing 2080ti's? Wow. I didn't really hear/read/see that being a problem for 1080ti's. I had one 1080ti flashed with the ASUS XOC BIOS that might have de-soldered a transistor because of the power draw on the VRM circuitry but it was a fairly easy fix and I never tried to overclock that 1080ti again (a Gigabyte 1080ti gaming OC I believe).

Well when you use a XOC VBIOS that allows 1000 watts and the FE cards aren't built if it, bad things can happen.
