F1 23 is hit by teething problems with its graphics settings. The issue first surfaced on the EA Answers community forum some 3 weeks around by people playtesting the game. F1 23 is expected to release this Friday (June 16), but pre-orders have a 3-day early access head-start, and have started playing the release version. Several players took to online forums such as Steam Community and Reddit to seek answers for what they describe as blurry game rendering at high settings. There are no known workarounds for now, other than to enable low/medium graphics presets that appear to water down motion blur and depth-of-field. Disabling those two in the graphics settings doesn't seem to help when higher presets are enabled, either. Another popular issue appears to be the color palette being "too bright," as one redditor complains.

EA strikes again and people keep buying.

If motion blur isn't a separate option that works, that's a fail.

It's not blur, just upscaling at its best. :p (sorry, couldn't resist)

EA needs to be voted the Worst Company in America Award again.

Winning the award 2 years in a row 2012/2013 wasn't enough apparently.

Now if the title was F1 23 Players Complain of Blurry Graphics at High Speeds
"blurry game rendering at high settings. There are no known workarounds for now, other than to enable low/medium graphics presets that appear to water down motion blur and depth-of-field. Disabling those two in the graphics settings doesn't seem to help when higher presets are enabled, either."
The issue is motion blur seems to be forced on with high settings, and turning it off doesn't fix it. Motion blur on means blurry game at any speed.

Looks like it's doing very poor upscaling.

Heck, it doesn't even look like upscaling, just using a lower resolution and call it a day.

Could be that they accidentally enabled FSR or something like that by default.

lol I initially thought there are 23 players complaining :P

Sounds like motion blur and dynamic resolution is enabled. Easy fix.

Sometimes with dynamic resolution, FSR/DLSS will be enabled on top of that too which really can lower image quality. Seems like people are complaining about auto settings.

I thought everything looks like a blur at 150mph?!?! ;)

Nope .. I set motion blur from 10 to 0, turned off upscalers and dynamic resolution, still super blurry
