Fake Resolution

hey everyone, so recently i have been recording and posting videos on Youtube but the problem is that they get compressed to 720p due to my screen being 1842x1036 and not 1920x1080, so id like to fake being on full 1080 or 1440p, you get the reasoning, now is there a way?

my system can handle the resolution in games and recording.

thank you :)

edit: if it helps my GPU is a Nvidia 16 series.

What monitor and why the weird resolution?

its not a monitor its an old ish 32 inch tv, so its just wiered alltogether.

Render the videos at 1080p? Won't scale up correctly but should be better either way.
Custom resolution? Nvidia DSR?

It looks you need re edit it in video editor and using 1280 * 720 or 16:9 scale and put your video there so it won't compress but it will leave some black bar since the resolution is not common

That is the setting you want to change. By default is it on Display, but you want to change it to GPU. Then go to Change Resolution and create a custom resolution of 1920x1080 60Hz and switch to that resolution.

I believe i already have it on GPU

thank you all very much, although my desktop is weird in 1440p, i managed to fix most things with scaling and as i mentioned in the post i'm doing this to improve the quality of my videos, you have all been a lot of help
