I have a thermal take 900 case, So what I would like to do is use these https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07X9YZ7YX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2A4XZZKQVDB4S&psc=1 as my intake fans and use these https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08CS53XJY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&th=1 as my back exsaust fans now what I would like to know is, could I plug the thermal take fans into the first ones controller and have them all running off of a singular 5v argb header on my motherboard for asus aura sync? or do I have to use the controler that came with the thermal take fans?

I wouldn't run more than 3 off one header. Technically you could run more but I wouldn't

I think @Mussels has some experience with this, but thermaltake uses proprietary connectors on their case’s fan controllers, so I’m going to say no. The fans that come with your case are proprietary 6-pin fans. The fans you are planning on using as exhaust are traditional 4-pin fans (according to Amazon reviews, so ymmv, but given that they have an in-line controller I imagine something non-standardized is going on with them, too). I couldn’t find any info on how many pins your intake fans use, other than that they’re proprietary and require the bundled controller, too, so they might work with your case’s controller but may not.

I’d search through forums with the model numbers and either “proprietary” or “pin” to be sure, but it seems like a gamble to me. Personally, I’d buy fans from a more reputable company that uses standard pin-outs.

theres no case fan controller as far as I know, it would be direct connect from the fan controller of the 120 mm fan into the motherboard, you say the exsaust fans are 4 pin so they may work they may not, what argb fans would you recommend that work with asus aura? i need 4 120 mm and 2 140 mm

only 2 fans came with my case top exsaust fans and i have those plugged into the fan controller that came with my motherboard though they arnt argb just normal fans

My bad — for some reason I thought the tower 900 came with a controller.

Here’s a list of compatible components:

Of those, I’d pick the Arctic P series, the Silverstone AP series, or any of the non-slim Scythe fans… but I’ve only used the first two lines. The Arctic P series is considered the best bang-for-buck fan on the market, so I’d look to those (better bearing noise than the SS line IMO, too), but I hear In-Win has been making good RGB fans, too. I haven’t tried Scythe’s RGB fans, but if they’re anything like their other products than they might be a top choice. The Arctic’s can have some intrusive bearing noise at certain RPMs, but if you avoid those speeds in your fan curves they should be fine.
