CAPCOM seems intent on focusing only on their Resident Evil franchise. There have been other great games over the years that were great too though. Dino Crisis 1 & 2 were back in the day of the original RE's. Onimusha 2 was my favorite CAPCOM game ever. While I consider Shinji Mikami to be in my top 5 game creators of all time, Keiji Inafune is my number one. Wish they would do HD remasters of Onimusha & Dino Crisis games instead of only focusing on their golden goose! Dino Crisis 4 and Onimusha 5 would be awesome too.

My point is that they are selling games based on the Resident Evil reputation of the past but there are other game franchises with great reputations. Similar to the Resident Evil franchise, CAPCOM needs to discover why certain games sold better than others. They need to get back to their roots when CAPCOM was doing their best in the PS1 and PS2 days. I love the RE HD remakes and I will probably even get RE7 just in case, but I hated RE6 and Revelations with a passion.

Top 12 Favorite CAPCOM Games (in order)

01. Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny
02. Onimusha: Warlords
03. Onimusha 3: Demon Siege
03. Resident Evil 2
04. Resident Evil 3
05. Resident Evil
06. Dino Crisis 2
07. Dino Crisis
08. Resident Evil 5
09. Resident Evil 0
10. Onimusha: Blade Warriors
11. Resident Evil: Code Veronica
12. Dino Crisis 3

So what other CAPCOM HD remakes would you like to see?

What are your favorite CAPCOM games?

Any franchise you wish that CAPCOM would continue?

Resident Evil Zero & Remake
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

That's all. Never really cared for DMC series. Didn't really care for Resident Evil on PSX either.
PS2 era was pretty good thou. RE4, Veronica, Outbreak games.
DreamCast versions of RE2,3 and Veronica looked really good as well.
RE5 was ok, RE6 and REvelations are meh.

Can't wait for Resident Evil 2 REmake and Resident Evil 7

Here are their best selling games & franchises. Keep in mind that certain games were console specific. Resident Evil 5 & 6 for example were available on most platforms...it seems to even go back to their Super Nintendo days with Street Fighter II. So my Onimusha 2 was 23rd or 7th for franchise. Not too bad I guess if you consider it was only available on PS2.

I voted "Other", since a major one (despite not having huge sales numbers) is missing: Remember Me. That gets my vote for best Capcom game.

Street Fighter series

There is this other classic game called Chaos Legion. That was one of my favs back in the day had the best music ever.

Lost Planet is a fun series (Except for the 2nd one). I really enjoy Bionic Commando as well.

Megaman 2 (NES)
Demons Crest (SNES)
Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Arcade)
Ghosts 'n Goblins (Arcade)
Final Fight (Arcade)

Wow, I just looked through Capcom's history of games and realized I am not really a fan of Capcom's games :(

Resident Evil Code Veronica (Dreamcast)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Arcade/Dreamcast)
Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers (Genesis)
Power Stone (Dreamcast)
Legendary Wings (NES)

Bionic Command and Remember Me, in that order. Other than that, not a fan.

Megaman Legends (killed) and Ace Attorney (no longer translated to spanish).
They can go to hell for what I care, what they did to Legends is unforgivable.

I used to miss a lot of school sitting in an arcade playing Street Fighter II. I love Street Fighter.

RE4 is far better than anything on your list, so I don't know why you omitted it. If you ask me it was one of the many injustices of the gaming industry that CAPCOM even profited off it.

Mikami was wise to get away from CAPCOM. His The Evil Within is better than all the non RE4 CAPCOM developed titles combined.

The only thing holding Mikami back now is Bethesda forcing their horrible Megatextures on him, but his team despite that did a pretty good job of patching the initial problems.

Marvel vs capcom all the way. Seriously fast paced arcade beatem up!

not in order

Breath Of Fire 3 or 4(4 being better to me)
Capcom Vs SNK 2/EO
Powerstone
Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Megaman 3(liked some others but 3 the most)
Resident Evil 1, 2, CV(not remakes)
Darkstalkers 3

Anyone remember the old Dungeons & Dragons beat 'em up arcade games? The second one, Shadow over Mystara, is a classic. There's a decent port of both games recently for PC/PS3/X360, but the Japanese PS3 version seems to be the best of them. Dragon's Crown is the closest thing there is to a spiritual successor. Thanks, George Kamitani! I wish there were more good beat 'em up games nowadays.

Street Fighter Zero 3 was a very good fighting game. Capcom's VS series was pretty good until Marvel vs. Capcom 2 & 3; character balance was way off and it also became too much of a combo-fest at the expense of fundamentals.

For the Breath of Fire fans, there's technically a Breath of Fire 6 but it's a mobile game.

Capcom has gone a long way from being infamous for spamming Rockman and Street Fighter games (most game series didn't have yearly or even bi-yearly installments back in the 1990s). After Rockman X4, the series took a nosedive. At least Street Fighter V looks interesting.

What I really want to see is a new Rival Schools game. I also miss the 1942 shoot 'em up games; the games also had good music. Heck, I miss the old shoot 'em up (non-danmaku) as a whole.

I voted Mega Man, I used to play the ever-loving crap out of those games on the NES.

Although, I'd say the Street Fighter II ranks right up there. I used to cut school to go to the arcade and play that.

voted other ... because of:

i played it on my Athlon XP rig back in the days and i would love to see a HD remaster of that one
