So what's everyone on these forums favourite game? I would have liked to have done a poll but there are just way too many good games out there. I haven't been a serious gamer for too long so I don't know too many of the older games, so unfortunately the best I've played would have to be GTA: Vice City. It's just so much fun and I love the radio stations, San Andreas got way too serious. I'm guessing there will be a lot of votes for the Half Lives and probably a fair few for the good old games like the original Doom and Quake... possibly even some stuff like space invaders, I don't know.

Post yours below.

Hmmm...there are so many good ones. But if I had to choose one, it would be Metroid: Fusion for the Game Boy Advanced. It's just so good! And it has a 3 way tie with Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced and Super Mario Brothers 3. Nintendo is AMAZING at making games :D. Though, I'm not saying that PC games are bad. I don't play GBA any more, so I'll have to go with UT2004, Halo, and Republic Commando.

N64: Super Mario 64
PS2: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
GameCube: SuperSmash Bros. Melee
Xbox: Halo/Halo2
GBA: Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced

Last, but not least:
PC: Doom/Quake 3: Arena/UT Series

I spose for me it's gotta be the origional "Command & Conquer", I still have it as I do all the series but never play them now, it was at the time I really started getting into PC's (IBM type as opposed to Commodores etc) in about 1996 and it was an awesome game back then and ran a very healthy and popular life, I was living in an apartment block in Kuwait at the time (in the British Army training the Kuwaiti's) and me and my neighbour made up a 40ft cable to connect our PC's and play one on one....it gave me many hours of pleasure outta the 50 degree temps!

I forgot about UT... that was an amazing game, glad they made UT2004 so good as well, just a shame about 2003.

Ok,
Gamecube: SuperSmash Bros Melee
N64 : SuperMario64
GB (the old one) : Tetris, Pokemon
GBA: Yoshi's universal Gravitation
NintendoDS: MarioKartDS, Polarium
PC: UT, GTA series,TRON2.0

When was the last time Unreal was single player, besides the first one? The Unreal Tournament Series was, and still is, really good. Onslaught was the best of all gametypes. If yu guys wanna play, say so.

My favorite game would have to be either AA, or BF2. If that new patch wouldn't of messed up everything, BF2 would be as fun as it used to be. :():

half life, for the time it owned hardcore, like way hardcore, i thought the graphics were off the hook on my old ibm that could barely run it on minnimum

that or super mario bros 2 on supernintendo

or the original mortal combat on sega

Yeah, Onslaught is brilliant. Assaults can be fun to start with, the ones in the original UT were better though. I've got UT2004 and a legal key so I can play anyone when I have time. :toast:

Onslaught is AMAZING, though if I ever have a need for vehicles, I just enable the Strangelove mutator :D. Anyone who wants the download just PM me. I have it for classic UT and UT2004, lastest versions (as far as I can tell).

LHX heliocopter sim
played it on a 486 dx50 ran off a floppy and aside from 256 graphics it was a decent game easy to play and simple I keep an old pentium 120 around just to play it. now as far as new games Poastal 2 just put in the cheats and stroll around town killing massive amounts of people how soothing after a hard day of Dog eat Dog

In terms of really old games, I like the game "hover" that came on the Windows 95 disk...I ran it using Windows 3.1 :D.

i would have to say all time best is starcraft. i dont know of anygame that still has sales after 15 years...let alone still in stores

TASpring, CS:S

My fav. PC game(s) is the Max Payne games. I just love the film noir style, and bullet time. The sawed off shotgun, my 5.1's, it's a match mad in Heaven. Max Payne 3 where are you?

Play Station 1 is most def. Metal Gear Solid!

Nintendo 64 has to be 007 Goldeneye (which I STILL haven't finished 100%).

Medal Of Honor Allied Asault.

PS2: MSG3: Snake Eater
PC: COD2, WoW, or HL2, is it too hard to decide
GC: Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
DS: Mario Kart DS
SNES: Super Mario World
N64: Mario Kart 64 or Goldeneye

Half Life 2, Counter Strike Source, C&C Red Alert 2

I used to really be into Halo 1 before Halo 2 came out. but Xbox live and the general hype around Halo 2 kind of destroyed my love for Halo 1... :(

Arcade: Street Fighter II (this ate loads of my money back in the day)
Amiga: Syndicate
Super Nintendo: Super Mario World
Atari Jaguar: R-Type III
N64: Mario 64
PlayStation: Final Fantasy Tactics
Dreamcast: Resident Evil - Code Veronica
PlayStation 2: Too many great titles to pick just one!
GameCube: Resident Evil 4
XBOX: Halo
PC (singleplayer): Half-Life 2
PC (multiplayer): Battlefield 2

As you can see I play too many games :)

PC: Deus Ex, UT (classic or 2004), and Half-Life
SNES: Super Mario World
PS2: Metal Gear Solid 3

Right there, like five of my favorite games.

Tough call...

This is like asking me, imo @ least, what is my favorite film, or musical band! It is a TOUGH call/decision, so many good ones over time...

:)

1.) ARCADES GAMES (I am "ancient", so they're gonna be old (I.M. an "arcade child" of the 1980's really)) would have to be:

a. Defender
b. StarGate
c. Tempest
d. Donkey Kong

2.) CONSOLE GAMES (again, 'my ancientness' will show thru again here imo):

a. Yar's Revenge
b. Mario original
c. Crazy Taxi

2.) PC GAMES (big "FPS" fan) would have to be:

a. Wolf3D & Return to Castle Wolfenstein
b. Doom I, II, III
c. Quake I, II, III, IV

* Can you tell that I am an "IDSoftware Fan", or what?

APK

P.S.=> Funny story time - Williams Arcade "Defender" actually got me into trouble (well, almost)!

See, I found out, while gambling on a game w/ my "rival" in those days, lol, that IF you hit '1 million score' on Defender? YOU CANNOT DIE!

(Not unless you hyperspace yourself to death, & THAT takes time... random number generator most likely)

I hit it, & it took hours to get there playing head-to-head... I could not die (you get shot you get another life in fact) & once I won my $10 (our wager, which in those days would be like winning $50 now imo), I left the game running & a bunch of others played it to NO end for FREE!

The arcade attendant called the cops & said I busted the machine... Anyhow - I came back from eating lunch nearby w/ my winnings (oh the spoils of 'victory' lol) & the cops were there hassling me! So, I had to figure out HOW to die to show them I found a "bug" & did not bust the damn thing!

Hyperspace was the way... took about 1/2 hour.

I was left alone after that! Was NOT funny to me @ the time, although it is now...

& (edited it later) just remembered: I have a Windows emulator version of it here, for Windows 95 I got in Atlanta Ga. when I lived there - going to play it now, Windows Server 2003 gets it all (sound & fast play)...

EDIT #2 - I STILL GOT IT IN ME, 23 years later no less! Heh - just did a million again, on its PERFECT "Williams" adaptation/port/emulation I had here to the PC!!! apk

I loved 3 games from the N64: the ever-popular James Bond game, Super Smash Bros., and Mario Kart.

X-Box: Halo 1 & 2

PC: all the Command and Conquer games, Counter-Strike, and F.E.A.R.
