As the title suggests, I was searching for drivers for 980M. I noticed constant micro-freezing or stutters in-game or Alt-Tab. Tried drivers from 430.x to 460.x and had no OC applied.
Then I tried my luck and installed drivers from microsoft update catalog 389.xx and frankly it had no stutters even on dx12 Hitman2 on High settings at FHD. Without VSYNC FPS was still at 40 on demanding scenes and above 80 FPS avg.
I did try NvCleanstall on this msft driver after I unpacked the cab file. Even when I selected setup.exe the dropdown menu or options were empty? https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=980m
Is it a bug?
