Hi

The Linux drivers that come with the Drivers can be removed after install without hitch so I was wondering if they could be removed from the install to save space for those of us that are sure we will never use them.

You can find the linux drivers files in :\Windows\System32\lxss\lib

Thanks for the great utility!

Are they even installed if the Linux Subsystem for Windows is not present?

If they are, then yes, this could be useful.

Hey thanks for your response, yes I checked - it installs the lxss files without WSL installed (in Windows 10 and 11) and in my case WSL was never activated since install.

Additionally, it might be that I want to use WSL but don´t need the nvidia driver (headless or intel gfx may be enough for some).

It´s around 150MB installed and 30-40MB in the compressed installer.

I replaced all the files for lxss (which can be found in \system32\lxss with 0-byte files before NVCLEANSTALL signed and packaged the driver. It installs and works correctly, only the linux files are gone :D
