Over the last weeks we have been working on a new design for techPowerUp! The site layout is nearing its completion, in the final phase we would like to ask for your help ironing out the last bugs.

To help, go to the UserCP -> Edit Profile and select the last option View New Design -> Enabled.

  • Feel free to try the new design in all browsers
  • A (cropped) screenshot often helps more than words to describe a problem
  • Menu link to TPUCapture and SPDTool is broken - page doesn't exist yet
  • Scrolling the reviews list fast causes duplicate entries sometimes

Known issues:

  • MySQL error when scrolling reviewslist too far fixed
  • Review Database trees don't drop down

I like the new design :) Kind of going to miss the old logo...but times change.

I've looked under every option...

the logo was changed because it scaled down really bad and many people confused it to "powerup" or "techpower"

Ah right, makes sense, but you still missed the ! at the end :P lol

didnt look good on the new logo. also it tends to trigger spam filter in email subjects :/
maybe we could look into getting another logo designed

I hate change,...Is this necessary?
I am afraid that we will end up looking like 99% of the sites out there now.

lol i see no difference

This happens in FireFox and IE7 if you scroll too far back into the reviews.

I have Firefox and new design works perfectly !
I don't see any bugs...yet

I like it so far! Seems a little bit cleaner and more modern. I'm excited to see the finished results! :toast:

the 2 colours i hate green and orange, maybe some lighter blue??

I quite like the new design, much cleaner/brighter...

basically just a facelift, the general layout of the site hasn't changed much..

only one thing i would say is that I agree with what others have said, the logo could use a bit of work, similar problem that happens to me when i'm writing programs or websites.. I usually end up going through about 10-20 revisions of the logo before i'm happy with it

The review database drop-down tree doesnt work.

Er. If you drop down an item, nothing happens. Then if you refresh the page it is dropped down.

cant see any difference :banghead: using ie7 is there anyway to enable it ? (i like tpu as it is )

It is not wrapping for me:

I agree, I think you should stick with a blue colour scheme.

I agree too, I'm fine with the orange, but I would change the green for blue.
