i got a 1gb of ram and a 850xt i just did a find max core and i got up to i think about 590's around 8 min of finding max core then the cube started flipping out and gettin yellow marks all around it then my comp screen chrashed and rebooted with a ati VPU message about my card not responding is that what finding your max core is supposed to do? or does it automatically stop? if not could you explain what exactly im looking for when the test starts and does it do everything automatically like stop the test

OK, no problem, VPU recover take few minutes. #1 when you start ATItool again is it on defaults or somewhere near 590? #2 have you read the instructions? #3 people who did that for long time recomend to move sliders manualy, bit by bit. #4 adjust fan speed & chek temps while o/c

well i did the testagain i got temps up to about 75c then core clock was up to about 598-600 it started to yellow out so i stoped it. so i guess my core is that so i only went up to about 570

now i do the same for mem?

it was on defaults then i retested and stoped it b4 it chrashed

Yeah! Leave core clock as it is but on low right activate options, scrol trough, find fan control & set it on 100% while running the tests. You were on another, older thread, read their posts & compare results, some staff members were posting there. But set fan on 100% and look for temps. For stock coolings this is "must". Stop manualy if goes near 80, OK?
Pls let us know how it went. Khm, run scan when you set clocks, for some 15min, if it passes, should be good o/c.

i get yellow things on my cube but i dont see it registering as an error

Yellow thing's = Artifacts, you dont want to see them at all!

right but aren't they supposed to say therss an error when i see an artifact? its still says no error its just blip though

But it is. get it down for 5MHz, see are they gone? was cheking that old thread, can't find their max's so be carefull not to go to high & to hot.

yeah i droped em a few now i dont think i see any at all its at 560.25 core and 607.50mem
fan speed at 100% and running on a avg of 68-69c

Sorry, was out for smoke & chk old results, that what you got seems to be considered as GOOD o/c for this card. If that clocks pass scan for 10min I suggest to declare them as OK and try in games. I'm bit warryed about temps. Is that avg temp while scanning?

yeah it was
plus do you get issues with your mouse when using the program for some reason my left click some times doesn't work at all

Well, my whole sistem goes shaky while o/c, it take some time to take command. For temps, people was repporting some insane temps, 30 as common & 50~60 at full load,so this, near 70 are bit high. Mine was running at 80 while o/c, so was my heart. What do you have "under the hood"? You will see mine if you click on sys specs. With userCP can edit yours. Welcome

i just added em

Nice. Was looking up&down the forums to find about your card, seems that 570 & 600 are about top values, so don't push it much higher.
Have to go, good luck!

one more thing should i use the ATI catalyst overdrive or ati tool and do i have to have catalyst exited out in order for ati tool to work?

also i bumped it up to about 550core and 550 mem got about a 10-15 increase on my fps and thanks alot man yeah i got it runnin i get fan speed up to about 40% and my temp stays at about 65-69 playing games like hitman 4 and WoW but for Halflife games it stays at around 50-54

what i do is keep the fan at 15% under 45degrees then increase to like 50% at 60 and at 65% 100 then the card never goes above 65% even running full loads for hours!! try doing that but running it at 100 at 60degrees!! they can run fine at 80degrees but its more stess on the card!! and if its running at 60degress u must be playing a game or have one hell of a screen saver!!!

Well, I was working on "blind" & main consern was not to fry the card, so "play it safe" all the way! Could change default values for fan speeds or start "try to...70 C". G have stock cooling & I'm not sure could it set clocks at higher values & keep temps normal. Ggrave, pls contact regan about details of sys spec, cooling & voltmods.
Have you played F.E.A.R.? All the best!

ok so whats the deal with my mouse clicking not working for many clicks then all of a sudden work then mess up again and repeating

all my stuff is stock i have a fan over my NB chip and i got a fan on the back and a fan on the vidcard, its a PCV-RZ44G sony vaio desktop

i seeemed to have fixed the mouse problem i just switched it to a new USB port why would that have happend ?
anything to do with the O/C?

Sorry, didn't understand that left click mess up all the time. If it works OK on another port, nothing to do with o/c. For fan speeds, stil confused with temps that other people repports, need time to snif around to find what & how.
