First AMD build. Any BIOS settings I should change right away?

Im about to get started on my first AMD build. Is there any BIOS setting I need or should change right away before I install the OS? Other than the basics that apply for Intel and AMD, like time, boot order, etc.

The only thing I can think of is making sure you're set to UEFI boot if you're considering windows 11 in the future. But I think most boards default to that these days.

(or if for some reason you do\want a legacy MBR install, with windows at least make sure to add 100MB [at least!] to the beginning system partition [you'll need to do this in windows setup] so you can carve out a 100MB efi boot parition later [+plus convert to GPT])

The only AMD-specific thing I can remember I think I had to do was turn on AMD-V. I realised it was off when I first tried to create a VirtualBox machine. Depends on whether you run VM's though.

Nah, just use the motherboard's default settings for the OS install. You can diddle with BIOS settings later.

I don't even touch the fan settings. As long as the CPU is being adequately cooled then I just proceed installing software. I tweak the fan curves later once I learn how the system thermals are under normal and heavy usage.
