About a month ago my monitor started flickering quite a bit especially in google chrome web browser. Never happens in video games or anywhere else than the web browser.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this and how to fix it?

My monitor is an ACER x34 predator ultrawide gsync monitor

Is hardware acceleration enabled in chrome? If it is,turn it off

DIsable Gsync for windowed applications, its probably syncing your refresh rate to some stupid number cause of an ad or video playing
