so summer has hit massachusetts and now on prime95 my phenom 2 720 is hitting 62 celsius. This is on stock voltage at 3.3 ghz and yes i have stock heatsink for now. So i moved the clock back to 2.8 which is stock and the temps are the same. So i tried to lower the voltage below default in the bios but it seems it wont let me. The option shows a digit 0 - 25 where each integer is a stepping of .024v or .0024 i cant remember. Anyways i cant go negative. I can lower the voltage in overdrive and ive managed to get 3.1 ghz at 1.3v stable. The temps are down to 58 with that. Can anyone help me? is there any way to lower the voltage in BIOS?

ive tried to contact foxconn but it is really hard i tried calling their tech support number and i swear an indian woman was on the voice machine saying youve missed vita. leave a message lol

No, unfortunately there is no way to go below the default on the Foxconn boards. I have the A7DA-S which uses the same voltage options. You go up in steppings, but you can't go below. You have to use 3rd party software to lower voltage, or buy a better cooler to bring temperatures down.

ok that is what i figured. Thank you for the response. I guess i'll use overdrive until i can get a better cooler.
